Step 1: Register

Interested Private Sector Organizations can register their organizations through the ‘register’ tab in the home page. The Fund Manager will check the eligibility of the organizations and inform them of the possibility to apply based on the information given.However, being eligible to apply does not ensure that the project that the organization will apply for will be selected. Following this, there is a two stage application process: Concept Note and Detailed Application

Step 2: Concept Note

Applicants will prepare a brief concept note to show that they have an innovative and sustainable idea that will contribute towards improving the enabling environment for the value chain development, pursue responsible business initiatives or meet the UNNATI objectives.The concept note should describe the issues to be addressed, possible outcomes and successful advocacy and proposed activities as per the concept note templateread more

The Fund Manager will screen and shortlist the concept notes based on the assessment criteria. The Manager will communicate about the results to all the applicants and those applicants that will progress to the second (detailed application) stage.

Step 3: Detailed Application

Shortlisted applicants will need to complete a detailed application form that provides detailed information on (i) project management (ii) budget details (iii) work-plan(progress milestones.) and (iv) log-frame (Result Measurement).

The Fund Manager will assess the applications against the set criteria and provide feedback. Those that do meet the guidelines will be subject to a detailed due diligence check before application is submitted to the Advocacy Fund Board.

The Fund Manager presents the projects that meet the criteria and pass the diligence check to the Advocacy Fund Board who select the projects to be funded.

Step 4: Contract Signing

Successful applicants will sign a contract with the International Labour Organization on behalf of Advocacy Challenge Fund for funding to implement the project within the given Terms and Conditions. The contracting phase is rigorous and specifies the contract period, disbursement schedules and the obligations to be committed by the grantee in terms of reporting and adherence to the terms of the contract.
